“People don’t hire portfolios, they hire people.”
Over the past 12 years our Chief Experience Officer, Mike Gadsby, has had the honor of meeting and interviewing designers from all over the world. In all that time, he has learned one important lesson: the experience of meeting people and making a connection is just as important as the details in the work.
On April 27th, Mike will explore the lifecycle of the hiring process for a designer through a series of short stories and anecdotes. From deciding which jobs align best with your career objectives to preparing your portfolio to all the various intricacies that make up the interview itself, he will talk through the do’s, don’ts, and considerations he and his colleagues debate as they’re reviewing candidates at all levels.
Regardless of whether you’re a student on the cusp of entering the workforce, an aspiring Art Director looking for a new opportunity, or a UX designer interested in a new challenge, the experience of “you” starts well before you hit send when you submit your resume and far beyond the last handshake at the interview.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to listen to Mike Gadsby speak! RSVP here.
